Soldering Power Wires to Screen

Hi Everyone,

I am using this screen as a dash for my racing motorcycle, and I was hoping to not use a micro-usb to power it. Instead I would like to solder my power supply wires straight to the 5V and GND pads on the back of the screen. I just wanted to make sure there was no problem in doing this.
