Heat issues?

Post by _valtsu_ »

Have you found Raspberry Pi cpu temperature as an issue with this display?
I have Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 8GB with the latest 64bit Raspbian OS.
I'm running my own Python GUI program with it and sometimes cpu temperature gets close to 80C.
I have tried to optimize my code to make it lighter for the cpu, but I haven't seen much of a progress with the heat issue.

The screen and Raspberry Pi are in enclosure with DC-DC converter and all of those will produce heat.
I don't have any kind of added heat sinks or fan, but there are many holes in the enclosure.

I just want to know have other people felt the need for added cooling...

I have put a small fan into my case to try to deal with heat issues. The case I designed has room for a fan. That might help.

I made some improvements to my code and the heat issue is solved. CPU load was just too high.
Thanks anyway!
